Speak Onion follows up 2012's The Illusion of Depth with another 4-track collection of drum'n'noise that will set up shop in your ears to re-arrange your nervous system. Kick drums pound through violent breaks, caustic basses writhe under eerie drones, and twitchy melodies ratchet the tension up to the breaking point. Noise gives way to signals, signals form patterns, and patterns formulate increasingly dense structures that collapse back into noise. Swallower compels frenzied movement, even as it closes in the walls and sucks the air from the room.
